How I Work

I would be honored to work with you in crafting your manuscript. My favorite genres to work on are Adult historical fiction, romance (historical, sci-fi, paranormal), and YA, though I have experience working on Middle Grade, thrillers, mysteries, literary fiction, contemporary fiction, and memoir as well. 

My strengths are in developmental editing and book coaching. Therefore, before beginning any editing or revising, I like to get a sense of the author's original vision. What was the spark that began the project? What themes are you most interested in? What is your writing process like? What area of story-crafting do you struggle with most? What research have you done?  What revisions have you already undertaken?  

I strive to provide supportive, critical, honest and specific edits and comments that will help improve your writing while staying true to your original vision and intent. My goal is to help you make your writing as strong as it can be and for you to come away with a manuscript that makes you proud.  I have worked with a variety of writers in all stages of the writing process and am confident about my abilities to help you, too.

I'm happy to provide new clients with a free sample edit of 5 pages, so you can evaluate my work and decide if you are comfortable with the direction and style of my editing.
